We are a little more than a week into 2013 and I hope you are doing well with your New Year’s resolutions. One of the biggest resolutions people make is to lose weight and get fit. Those are great resolutions but sometimes can be hard to keep unless you have a plan. Changing your lifestyle can be challenging because habits die hard. Sometimes we need to just change one thing at a time so we don’t feel so deprived or out of sorts. I always try to eat healthy foods and exercise regularly, but this year I am planning to be even more aware of what I eat and where it comes from. We had a really busy Christmas season with our gift business, Annas Gourmet Goodies, and I barely had time to eat much less pay much attention to everything I did eat. I also usually drink at least eight glasses of water a day but found that I am now down to about two or three just from having the lack of time to drink. I can definitely tell a difference in my body and how I feel with this lack of water and even though drinking a lot of water is something I have done for a long time, after getting out of the habit for just one month, I find I am having a hard time getting back on track. However, I know that it is important to get back on track and forget about December and move forward. So, while I am writing this I am drinking a great big glass of water! One of my favorite websites is the Cleveland Clinic. Below is a link for their detox diet to get you started on the right path to healthy eating. Don’t let the word detox scare you. You won’t be taking any pills to wash your body out, but rather getting some tips on how to get your body cleaned out the healthy way. Check it out below…
